Our Team

  • Jen Toomey, Owner/Operator

Hi, I’m Jen, founder of Little Friends Play Space, a play space designed especially for toddlers and their grown-ups! My journey into creating this space has been shaped by a life-long passion for supporting families and building community. I began my career as a nanny and then spent many years running a home daycare, where I fell in love with the joy and curiosity that little ones bring to everyday. Later I shifted gears and opened a personal training studio, Achieve Fitness, here in Prospect where I spent 14 years helping people feel strong, confident, and empowered. While fitness will always have a place in my heart, I felt called to return to my roots in early childhood - and Little Friends Play Space was born!

As a wife and mom of two grown children, and someone who’s spent a career working with both children and adults, I understand how important it is to create safe, engaging spaces where kids can play and parents can connect. I am certified in infant/child/adult CPR, first aid, and AED. My daughter Emma will be part of the Little Friends Play Space staff and she too can’t wait to meet and interact with all our new little friends! I’m so excited to welcome you and your family into our family!

  • Emma Toomey

Hi, I’m Emma, manager of Little Friends Play Space! I’m finishing up my senior year at Naugatuck High School this spring, and I have committed to Central Connecticut State University where I will be studying elementary education in the honors program this fall. Teaching is something I’ve been passionate about for as long as I can remember! I’ve gained hands-on experience working with children through local non-profit Kelly’s Kids, and I’m also a trusted house and pet sitter in the community. I’m infant/child/adult CPR, first aid, and AED certified. I’m so excited to be part of the Little Friends Play Space team!
